Sacrament Meeting Minutes
Wendy Jean Winder shared her testimony on the importance of attending mutual.  She received the blessings of giving service, growing friendships and strengthening her testimony by attending these YM and YW activities.   She also reminded us of the value of Choice and Accountablility with words from President Thomas S Monson.  There are 3 R's to making choices:   The Right of making a choice, the Responsibility that comes with making a choice and the Results that happen because of our choice.
Cameron Taylor spoke one of  his favorite general conference talks which was by President Russell M. Nelson on Revelation and how willing the Lord is to share His thoughts and desires with us.  With the upcoming General conference he suggested we think of questions that we want answered and that during conference we will hear the answers to the questions we have if we are being obedient and listening to the promptings of the Spirit.
Daryl Williams and Dick Anderson shared their talents with a beautiful rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic on the piano and organ.
Jacqui Bennion shared her favorite conference talk:  Until Seventy Time Seven by Lynn G Robbins.   It was a reminder that even if make mistakes as we struggle to do the Lord's will, He will be there as our advocate.  He wants us to succeed and when we make a mistake or fail in our first attempts to be better His love and forgiveness will help us learn and achieve.

Galatians

“Walk in the Spirit”
The gospel of Jesus Christ offers freedom from spiritual bondage. But sometimes people who have experienced the freedom of the gospel turn away from it and “desire again to be in bondage”
The law of Christ makes me free.  I am an heir to the blessings promised to Abraham.
Did Abraham have the gospel of Jesus Christ?
If I “walk in the Spirit,” I will receive the “fruit of the Spirit.”
 Calendar
• Stake YM/YW MORP - Saturday, September 28th - 7:00 - 11:00 pm at the Stake Center. This is the first time we are doing a MORP... What is it? The opposite of PROM: A casual girl-ask-guy date-dance for ages 16+. What to do: Girls ask a date in a creative way, dates wear matching/coordinating outfits, go in a group, plan a fun daytime/pre-dance activity (bowling, go-karts, etc.), dinner, end at the stake center for the dance.

September 29.   The fifth Sunday is a joint meeting of priesthood quorums, the Relief Society and youth ages 8 and up.  It will be in the chapel following Sacrament Meeting.  This month we will be learning about the new program for our children and youth.   Linger longer luncheon will follow at 2 p.m.   Please bring chips, salads or a dessert to share.  Drinks and sandwiches will be provided.

Don't forget to watch or listen to General Conference sessions on Saturday, October 5 & Sunday, October 6.   Fast and testimony meeting will be on Sunday, Oct. 13.
