Sacrament Meeting Recap:
A beautiful Thanksgiving piano/organ duet We Gather Together was played by Sister Laurtisen and Sister Pam Jones.
Blair Smart shared his story of wanting to be a commercial pilot and how he studied and listened to tapes on what he needed to know about flying but it wasn't until he actually did those things that he comprehended the true impact it had on his life.   He likened this to doing more then listening and reading about the gospel and how we needed to be Doers in gospel things to truly gain the blessings and know the Savior better.  Doing helps us have the constant presence of the spirit in our lives.  He asked us to commit to being DOERS.
High Councilor Ryan Riveras recalled the primary song I'll Seek the Lord Early and asked that we too seek the Lord early (in the morning) to get our day off to a good start.  We need to find a quiet place and pray about everything in our lives so that we don't have to wonder if things are true but will have the conformation within our selves on what we should say and do during the day and what we should believe.   Thru his personal experiences he reminded us that if we listen and follow thru on promptings we will get blessings even if we never know why we need to act in a certain way.
  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Personal Study

November 18–24  James   “Be Ye Doers of the Word, and Not Hearers Only”

Who was James?

It is generally believed that the author of the Epistle of James was a son of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, and therefore the half brother of the Savior.
Patient endurance leads to perfection.  Faith requires action.  The words I speak have the power to hurt or bless others.  As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I should love all people, regardless of their circumstances.
