Personal Study
October 14–20 Philippians; Colossians “I Can Do All Things through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me” Do we “work out [our] own salvation”? The gospel of Jesus Christ is worth every sacrifice. I can find joy in Christ, regardless of my circumstances. My faith is founded on Jesus Christ. Disciples of Jesus Christ become “new” as they live His gospel. Calendar Jacob Taylor requests your aid in completing his Eagle Scout Project. Bring some gloves and help paint over graffiti on Saturday, Oct 19. Meet at the church at 7:30 a.m. to get instructions and carpool. Tri-Ward Trunk or Treat, Friday, October 25. 6:30 p.m. Sign up to host a trunk or a game booth. Pumpkin carving contest, trunk decorating contest, costume parade, games, cake walk/donut bobbing station. Trunk or treat starts at 7:30.
Stake Temple Recommends - Sunday, Oct 27th - 2:00 pm
• Stake YM/YW Activity - Wednesday, October 16th. 7-8:30 pm - Training for the Family Fun Fair. Basic training and prep night for the youth serve at this year’s Family Fun Fair. Come even if you're not attending the Family Fun Fair. This is for all Young Men and Young Women in our stake.
• PV Stake Blood Drive - Saturday, October 26th. Sign up with ward reps for times.
• PV Stake Youth Halloween Dance - Saturday, October 26th - 7:30 - 10 pm - at the Thunderbird Building Ballfield.
• Stake General Priesthood Meeting - Sunday, October 27th, - 7:00 am at the Stake Center. This is for all priesthood holders, youth and adults.
• Face to Face Event for Children and Youth – Sunday, November 17th - To help prepare children, youth, parents, and leaders to implement the new Children and Youth initiative, children and youth who are turning ages 8 to 18 during 2020 and their parents and Young Women, Young Men, and Primary leaders are invited to a broadcast event on Sunday, November 17, at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, with Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and the Primary, Young Women, and Young Men General Presidents. Members are encouraged to gather as families and friends in meetinghouses, homes, or other locations to view the broadcast that will be transmitted live on the Church satellite system, ChurchofJesusChrist.
