Sacrament Meeting Recap:
Justin Crockett shared the importance of calling upon God for deliverance from not only physical things but from personal things also.  He shared what he had learned from reading Robinson Crusoe.   It was only after many years on an island alone that Robinson Crusoe turned to the Bible for comfort when he was ill and dying.   There in Psalms he read "Call upon me and I will deliver you".  This changed his outlook on live and he moved onward and was healed.   Through the atonement we can be delivered.  The only way to make a change is through difficulties.   Justin reminded us that is we fell like groaning we should laugh instead.
John Dahl  shared insights into the word of wisdom and how it is the commandment with a promise that not only tells us what to avoid but how to live a healthy and productive life.   When we are healthy we are able to have a clear mind that allows us to hear the promptings of the Spirit.  We loose the sensitivity to promptings when we don't live the Word of Wisdom.   John also shared the true story of Thelma, a desert tortoise who traveled across the Arizona desert from mountain range to mountain range.   It took her a long time but she made it by being slow and steady in her progress, focused on one step  at a time and when she came to obstacles she couldn't get through on her own she allowed others to help her.

“Be Thou an Example of the Believers”

If I am “an example of the believers,” I can lead others to the Savior and His gospel.         “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”            Living the gospel provides safety from the spiritual dangers of the last days.         Followers of Christ forgive one another.
