Sacrament Meeting Minutes
Ethan Smart shared his thoughts on keeping an eternal perspective as we "hold on" to what is happening in our life.
High Councilman,  Ben Chase, spoke on the law of sacrifice.   Sacrifice is to give to the Lord all that He requires of us.   Do we love the Lord as Abraham did when he was willing to sacrifice his only son?   We can be a living sacrifice, a process to make us holy, by turning ourselves over to the Lord.   Atonement is sacrificing our sins.   We can sacrifice by giving up things, talents, time and means to help others, by serving as the Lord did.
PERSONAL STUDY

August 12–18

Romans 7–16

“Overcome Evil with Good”
If I follow the Spirit, I can overcome sin and prepare for an inheritance with God.
The eternal glory that awaits the faithful far outweighs the trials of mortality.
What did Paul mean by “predestinate,” “election,” and “foreknow”?
Paul invites me to become a true Saint and follower of Jesus Christ.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
