Sacrament Meeting Highlights
Karen Watson shared her insights on the blessings of attending teachers council and teaching Sunday School. She reminded us that we have to be willing to give our whole heart, our whole self in the Lord's service. In magnifying our callings we don't just do it better but become better. Giving our will to the Lord doesn't mean giving up on things we like but it is not dwelling on them at the expense of doing what the Lord wants.
Dale Davis reminded us that we agreed to be "teachers" when we were baptized, by being witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He shared stories of teachers who changed lives by teaching in the Savior's way. Our goal in being teachers, whether as a calling or in our homes, it to show love that motivates and helps others understand truth. He quoted President Hinckley. "Effective teaching is the very essense of leadership in the church". The teachers council is held every quarter during the second hour on the 3rd and 4th Sundays for all teachers and those wanting to learn to be effective teachers.

Stake Choir Practices for Easter Devotional - Sundays, March 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, and April 14th. All practices will be from 7-8 pm at the Stake Center in the Chapel.
2019 Stake Youth Conference
General Conference Tickets - Tickets for the April General Conference on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th, in the Conference Center at Temple Square are available. Our Stake has been alloted tickets for the Saturday Morning, Priesthood, and Sunday Morning sessions. Limited tickets are available. If interested please send an email to Scott Johnson at sdjaz@q.com with requested session and number of tickets desired.
Suggested items for the birthday bag include:
boxed cake mix, can of frosting, 9X13 disposable pan, small decorative plates, plastic table cloth, birthday candles, paper cups and napkins, a birthday card, balloons and small toys or trinkets.

Book of Mormon Scripture Study Class
The full time missionaries sponsor a Book of Mormon class.
The class is held on Sunday Evenings from 5-6:00 pm in the Relief Society Room at the Shea Building
The teacher is Daryl Williams of the Mountain View Ward. The lessons are for those who want a better understanding of the Book of Mormon and is suitable for both life-long members and those who do not attend the church, whether members or not. It is ideal for people who do not feel like they ready to attend a worship service, but are interested in the Church. The dress is casual. The class covers the Book of Mormon in one year, so it provides a more in-depth look at the book than typical of a Gospel Doctrine class and makes the class suitable for both long-time students of the scriptures and beginners. Bring a physical copy of all the scriptures and a notebook for your thoughts.
