The 2 Great Commandments
1) Love the Lord thy God
2) Love thy Neighbor
Matthew 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
"We love him, because he first loved us"
Let us be known as a people who love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and who love our neighbor as ourselves. When we understand and practice these two great commandments in our families, in our wards and branches, in our nations, and in our daily lives, we will begin to understand what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus the Christ. ~ President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Rules of engagement
Brothers and Sisters—it was great to see you today at Stake Conference. I’m so pleased that you found my Rules of Engagement to be of interest; and I’m delighted to attach a copy of them for you to use however you may see fit. Hopefully, they will motivate you to ponder your own needs and revise or create whatever rules may be best for you.
Kindest regards, Scott Theobald,
2nd Counselor, Paradise Valley Stake Presidency

Katherine Nelson
Shared what she has done to prepare to serve a mission
- Attend all meetings and activities "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20
- Read your scriptures daily. Take time to Memorize scriptures Memorizing scripture passages can help you understand them better. Memorized passages can provide you with help, inspiration, comfort, and motivation. Memorized scriptures can add power to the words you use to teach others.
- Pray always
President Russell Taylor
Spoke on personal revelation
"If we are to have any hope of sifting through the myriad of voices and the philosophies of men that attack truth, we must learn to receive revelation"
"I plead with you to increase your spiritual capacity to receive revelation. "
"Choose to do the spiritual work required to enjoy the gift of the Holy Ghost and hear the voice of the Spirit more frequently and more clearly."
"I promise that as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lord’s timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. Every blessing the Lord has for you—even miracles—will follow. That is what personal revelation will do for you."
Russell M. Nelson
1. Prepare our body, mind & spirit to ponder
2. Understand how the Holy Ghost speaks to us individually 3. Write down impressions, counsel & wisdom that come to us through the Holy Ghost 4. ACT on the revelation AS we receive it
Never suppress a feeling to help others
and remember to
Read the Book of Mormon
Everyday, Everyday, Everyday
Noah Oar
Shared a story of a talented gymnast who had just returned home from serving a mission. This young man was preparing for the Olympics when he had a terrible accident during one of his competitions and fell 10 feet onto the concrete which resulted in shattering all 5
metatarsals in his foot. Surgery to repair his foot resulted in 3 plates, screws and pins to keep his foot together. This young mans life changed in an instant and now will require a year of healing and then months of therapy and hard work to compete again.
This young man he was speaking of was himself . . . .
Noah's faith in his Savior is what gives him the strength.
He is reminded that
He will make weak things become strong.
Our mortal life will present continual opportunities for trials and refinement.
"How could we believe it would be easy for us when it was never,
ever easy for Him? ~ Holland
Remember the lord is our perfect example , he is our captain
President Juan Quilantan
We are the Lords hands here on earth,
it is our responsibility to serve those around us.
Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
