Speakers
Charles Packard - Youth Speaker
Charles shared about his experiences at Scout this summer. He was able to complete 4 merit badges - Emergency Preparedness, Geo Catching, First Aide and Environmental Science
His favorite part of scout camp was exploring in the woods
Karen Watson spoke on Courage
Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard? 'Tis not so; all is right. ~ Blessed, honored Pioneer! ~ For courage to accept thy will, To listen and obey. We love thee, Lord; our hearts are full. We’ll walk thy chosen way. ~ Fear not, though the enemy deride; Courage, for the Lord is on our side.
What is Courage ? Trusting in something greater than ourselves
"My earnest prayer is that you will have the courage required to refrain from judging others, the courage to be chaste and virtuous, and the courage to stand firm for truth and righteousness." Thomas S Monson
Dave Campbell spoke on Patriotism
What an honor it was today as we listened to Dave Campbell, who serves as a Federal Court Judge share his experiences as he presides over the Naturalization Proceedings and the Oath of Allegiance. Brother Campbell shared how these are his favorite days of the week.
Each and every one of us has much to be grateful for as a citizen of the United States
This is a choice land
May we keep the commandments, live our religion publicly and privately, serve those around us and go about doing good.
