Sacrament Meeting
Kaitlyn Wulff  - spoke about "For the Strength of Youth"

Message from the First Presidency
OUR DEAR YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN, we have great confidence in you. You are beloved sons and daughters of God and He is mindful of you. You have come to earth at a time of great opportunities and also of great challenges. The standards in this booklet will help you with the important choices you are making now and will yet make in the future. We promise that as you keep the covenants you have made and these standards, you will be blessed with the companionship of the Holy Ghost, your faith and testimony will grow stronger, and you will enjoy increasing happiness.
In all that you do, stay focused on the temple. In the temple you will receive the greatest of all the Lord’s blessings, including marriage for time and all eternity. Keeping the standards in this booklet will help you be worthy to attend the temple, where you can perform sacred ordinances for your ancestors now and make essential covenants for yourself in the future.
Our Father in Heaven has placed great trust in you. He has a work for you to do. Seek His guidance in prayer, and counsel with your parents and leaders. The decisions you make now will set the course for much of what will follow during your mortal life and throughout eternity.
We testify that God lives. It is our fervent prayer that you will remain steadfast and valiant throughout your lives and that you will trust in the Savior and His promises. As you do this, you will be an influence for good in helping to build the kingdom of God and prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Savior.

Penny based her talk off of the APRIL 2015 Talk The Family Is of God

Read talk {HERE}

Our Father has a family. It’s me!
It’s you, all others too: we are His children.
He sent each one of us to earth, through birth,
To live and learn here in fam’lies.
A father’s place is to preside, provide,
To love and teach the gospel to his children.
A father leads in fam’ly prayer to share
Their love for Father in Heaven.
A mother’s purpose is to care, prepare,
To nurture and to strengthen all her children.
She teaches children to obey, to pray,
To love and serve in the fam’ly.

I’ll love and serve my family and be
A good example to each fam’ly member.
And when I am a mom or dad, so glad,
I’ll help my fam’ly remember:

God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be—
This is how He shares His love, for the fam’ly is of God.

Jared Matkin - spoke on Forgiveness
Is there someone in your life who perhaps needs forgiveness? Is there someone in your home, someone in your family … who has done an unjust or an unkind or an unchristian thing? All of us are guilty of such transgressions, so there surely must be someone who yet needs your forgiveness.” ~ Elder Jeffrey R. Holland ~ Amazed at the Love Jesus Offers Me

Each of us might learn something by reading

“I will try in all I do and say to live the gospel more each day”

Church Encourages “Small and Simple Acts” on

 Worldwide Day of Service

“Serve anyone you want, any way you want” this December 1.
That’s the message of the Church’s Worldwide Day of Service, which kicks off a month-long “Light the World” Christmas initiative encouraging members to share the light of Christ through small, but meaningful acts of service on each of the 25 days before Christmas.
“When people think of Christmas, they often think of lights,” said Bruce Muir, director of emergency response for the Church. “Christmas lights, lighted store windows, tree lights. Christ taught ‘Ye are the light of the world,” and we hope that through small and simple acts of service, we can spread the light of Christ—helping others to feel the love of the Savior through genuine kindness.”

Need some ideas about how you can serve? Here are some suggestions to inspire you and help you get started:
  • Call your mother.
  • Give blood at your local blood bank.
  • Visit a nursing home in your community.
  • Invite a neighbor to dinner.
  • Donate non-perishable items to a local food bank.
  • Leave only positive comments on social posts.
