Sacrament Meeting Talks
Elder Rugg - shared how he struggled with his testimony all the way up to his freshman year at Snow College. Upon taking the challenge from his mom to read the Book of Mormon and Moroni's Promise he came to know the Book of Mormon was true which helped him to decide to serve a mission.
Take a moment to read this promise Moroni 10:4 “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost”
Elder Proctor - shared how he had some struggles growing up and made some choices that he felt inside would keep him from being able to serve a mission. After struggling with the decision of what he should do he was able to meet with his Bishop to make things right and use the atonement before his mission. This was a cornerstone in strengthening his testimony in order to serve a full time mission.
We are so grateful that both of these wonderful missionaries where able to have these experiences in their lives so that they could come and serve in the Mountain View Ward.
Brother Josh Harrison - shared some amazing thoughts on being a member missionary. He referenced the 2016
Josh challenged each of us to Think about how we can each have more Gospel centered conversations in our lives
Musical Number by the Ward Choir
Brother John Dahl was the concluding speaker. He also spoke on missionary work and being a member missionary. John shared many inspirational stories of the Lord works through members of the church to bless the lives of others. Brother Dahl encouraged us to
find a way to follow the promptings and act upon them to share the gospel. If we will do these things - How great shall be your joy !
