The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released a 2017 Christmas message:
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this Christmas season, our hope is that the light and testimony of the Savior’s divine mission as the Redeemer of all mankind will come into our hearts and be reflected in our thoughts, our words, and our actions.
May each of us be blessed at this joyous season of the year as we acknowledge with sincere gratitude the Father’s incomparable gift to us
of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Master.

Monthly Teachers Council
Everyone who teaches in ANY capacity should attend
December 17, 2017
(Please note those that attend third hour should go directly to the high council room instead of opening exercises to maximize discussion time.)
The Bishop has asked us to review the changes the Church is making in the 2018 Curriculum. We will provide a handout that outlines the changes. However, we would appreciate input from anyone who may have incite as to how this will impact the block meeting schedule. We will "council" together so we will be ready for the changes in January. We hope everyone will make an effort to be in attendance.

MISSIONARY UPDATE
Congratulations to Jackson Gardner
He has received his mission called to serve in the Japan Tokyo Mission
DALE INMAN he received his mission call to the Washington Federal Way Mission and reports on January 3rd to the MTC. Several people have asked how they can help Dale get ready for his mission. Here is a wish list on Amazon http://a.co/eXiT0hw? You can also give to the missionary fund under his name when they pay your tithing online or in person.
Kira Gedris of the Granite Reef Ward has been called to serve in the Finland Helsinki Mission. She will report to the MTC on December 6th.
Robert & Marilyn Llewellyn of the Shadow Mountain Ward have been called to serve in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. They will report to the MTC on April 16, 2018. They will serve for 18 months.
John and Carole Blood of the Desert Ridge Ward have been called to serve as Nauvoo Illinois Temple missionaries. They will begin their mission on April 27, 2018.
